What the evidence can—and can’t—show
School profiles report the assessment rates and trends NJDOE publishes. Some results are suppressed or not reported, and missing values are not zero. Rates describe a tested group in a particular year; they do not by themselves rate school quality, explain why a result occurred, or measure every kind of learning.
